So for this blog post, I decided to do a rundown on mostly skincare products that i’ve used up in the last few months. This also includes some of my ‘holy-grail’ products.
JASON MARKK Shoe Cleaner
This product is probably the best discovery I’ve ever made. I mean, really. The Jason Markk shoe cleaner is a product that was sent from heaven. Thanks to this, I’ve been able to keep my white sneakers really clean. It’s very quick and easy to use and it helps whiten your shoes. The liquid cleaner comes with a brush the first time you buy it. The only thing you need to do is to place a small amount of the soap onto the brush, then dip the brush very lightly in a bowl of water, clean your shoes and rinse them. It only takes you a few minutes to do it.
DERMALOGICA Essential Cleansing Solution
The Dermalogica cleansing solution is definitively a cleanser that is on the pricier side. But I’ve heard so many good reviews on it and wanted to get my hands on of the cleanser. The great thing about it is that it cleanses your skin without disturbing the moisture balance. So your skin doesn’t feel too dry after using it. As for the smell, it has a quite clinical odour. For people who are dealing with skin issues such as acne, the product can be used part of your skincare routine as it won’t make the situation worst. The bottle does last you a few months. The only thing that puts me off a bit is the price tag but it’s definitely worth the try.
THISWORKS Deep Sleep Pillow Spray
Some of you might be surprised by the name of this spray and might be wondering what it is. I used to be the type of person who would struggle quite often to fall asleep. So I started to do some research on different ways to help you fall asleep. My main goal what to find something natural. I didn’t want to take sleeping pills because I knew that I would depend on them for the rest of my life.
One of the products often mentioned in articles on this subject was this spray. Luckily, I was able to pick this product up while I was in London. At first, I was quite sceptical about the spray but, once I tried it onto my pillow, the next day I woke up feeling refreshed. I didn’t struggle, as I usually did before, to go to sleep and I felt like I’ve been able to stay in a deeper sleep than I usually would.
So if you are someone struggling with falling asleep and you need some non-harsh way to help you, I would a 100% advise you to give it at least once a go.
CLINIQUE Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
The first thing that I would say about this moisturizer is that it has lasted me so long. I used it everyday but it never seemed to get empty.
The cream is very hydrating, perfect for cold and dry weather. So for people who live in a climate where it’s quite humid and hot, I would recommend finding a lighter moisturizing cream.
AVÈNE Cleanance Micellar Water
I used to use this micellar water a lot when I had acne. It helps to soothe my skin redness by gently getting rid of makeup. But even on days when I wouldn’t wear makeup, I would also love to wipe my face a few times with the solution just to get rid of any dirt or pollution residue. It leaves you with super fresh skin due to its water-based formula.
BIODERMA Créaline Légère Crème apaisante légère + BIODERMA Créaline DS+ Gel Moussant
So I’m going to talk about these products at the same time because they are very similar. They both come from the same Bioderma range. They are both adapted to sensitive and mixed skin. Again, like products I use, they help to calm the redness, that is mostly concentrated around my cheeks. I highly recommend both products because what is good about French skincare is that it’s not filled with chemicals and the products have a neutral smell or even no smell at all and that’s what I like about them.
KIKO Pure Clean Water
To be honest, one of the reasons I bought this makeup remover is for the packaging. There is a pump type of dispenser.
But not only that, the micellar water is very gentle on the skin and perfectly removes any residue of makeup. It has a refreshing after-effect.
