Hope you are all doing well. Today I would like to dedicate a little blog post to one of my “holy grail” skincare products that I’ve been using for a while now, which is the SEWA Insam Essence. More precisely, I wanted to do a review about it and tell you why it has become an indispensable item in my skincare routine.
First of all, what the product promises to do is to act as an essence that minimises the appearance of pores, lifts the skin but also keeps it fully moisturised.
I usually use the essence as the second step of my skincare routine, after applying toner. I feel like the essence is a perfect “base/primer” before applying any other products. The reason being is that it seems to make it easier for other products to be fully absorbed into the skin; resulting in a much more effective and efficient role of the other different products.
I must say that the essence is very easily absorbed into the skin and has a nice liquid consistency. As for the smell, I have to admit that it has a smell that we’re not really used to when it comes to skincare. It ressembles a sort of natural seaweed and sea smell. That is probably due to the Herbs extracts. But after using it regularly, I quickly got used to the smell.
The product retails for 1,190 baht for the 120ml version, and 399 baht for the smaller travel-size version (30ml). I would advise you to get the normal-size version because you definitely get your money worth. Every time I get the 120ml version, the product lasts me for months and months, plus I use it everyday; morning and evening. The product doesn’t run out quickly at all. However, I must say that I’ve tried to buy the smaller version as well because I had to travel but I was a little bit more disappointed in this size because personally, I thought that the product ran out too quickly. So in the future, I would clearly buy the normal size bottle rather than the small one.
Other than that, I wouldn’t have anything negative to say about the essence. It just seems to be perfectly doing what it has been marketed for. Plus, I’ve recommended the product to some of my friends and they seem to have enjoyed it as well.

To conclude, I would a 100% recommend this product to anyone. It has definitely made a change in my skin, as I now feel that whenever I use it, my skin is much more moisturised, plumped and radiant, thanks to its antioxidant properties. My skin is also visibly less dull and more refreshed every time I apply it.
