There is no better feeling than that moment when decorative lights start to illuminate the city again. When the shop windows are filled with beautifully crafted displays and the feeling of joy is flooding the streets – when Christmas is around the corner. Christmas is probably one of my favourite times of the year. Paris is a city that is already magical in itself but during the holidays season, it’s truly something else. In this post I’m going to share with you some of the most breathtaking Christmas decorations spot in Paris.
Galeries Lafayette
When you think of Christmas in Paris, you definitely can’t overlook the iconic Galeries Lafayette Christmas tree that is taking over the department store’s dome. Every single year, the decorations are breathtaking. There’s not a single year where you are disappointed.

Printemps
This year, Printemps went all out for their store displays. Honestly, I even think that it’s my favourite spot for decorations this year. I definitely recommend taking a look at this place if you happen to be in Paris.

Le Bon Marché
Another iconic place is Le Bon Marché located in the 7th arrondissement. Their 2021 Christmas theme is all about the gingerbread man cookie. Even the window displays are “small shows performed” by gingerbread men.

- BHV Marais – This year, the iconic department store has a Swiss-inspired theme. You don’t need to go far to immerse yourself in a Swiss-like Christmas. You can simply enjoy it from the “Marais” area in Paris, located in the 4th arrondissement. There’s no more excuse for not indulging in some delicious Swiss chocolate and tasty cheese!
