Can’t believe we’re already the 24th of December. Christmas came unexpectedly fast this year. As most of us are, or will be hosting a Christmas dinner, I thought why not share a recipe for mulled wine; the perfect drink to accompany your dinner. I find it to be a staple for the holiday season and I love making it. It’s super easy and takes little time to make. I mean… it doesn’t hurt to learn a new “last-minute” recipe, right? So here it is:
[20min recipe]
First, let’s start with the ingredients that you will need (ps: this a recipe for 2 persons)
- 1/2 bottle of red wine
- 1 lemon (grate the zest)
- 1/2 cinnamon stick
- 1/2 pinch of grated nutmeg
- 1.5 cloves
- 50g of brown sugar
FIRST STEP
Pour the wine into a saucepan alongside with the zest, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and sugar.
SECOND STEP
Bring it to boil. Once the wine is boiling, turn the heat off and cover the saucepan with a lid.
THIRD STEP
Let the mixture sit and infuse for 30 minutes.
FOURTH STEP
After 30 minutes, turn on the heat again and your wine is ready to be served!
(Don’t forget to strain your wine as you serve it)
Enjoy!
