Healthy Fridge, Healthy Nutrition

Living a healthy lifestyle is not as hard as what most people think, you just need some good preparation. It starts with a fridge full of healthy options. If your fridge is filled with goodness, you will only eat food that is good for you. I stock my fridge with some must-have items. I consider them as my staples. Here is a list of what I like to keep:

of course a TON of fruit and vegetables. I try to create a small rainbow of fresh produce. Having a colourful range is amazing for your health. You’re getting a lot of different vitamins and they all have some good and different effects on your body. Some are good antioxidants, some even help with detoxification. Raspberries, kiwis, apples, spinach, kale, red grapes, lemons, cucumbers and the list goes on and on.

I like to get my protein “lean” from salmon, smoked salmon, chicken breast, turkey and also eggs.

Sometimes I also like to store some coconut water, quinoa, chickpeas and avocados.

As for drinks I keep loads of water bottles. I don’t really like buying fruit juices as they sometimes contain too much sugar and additives. That’s why I like to make my own, whether it’s orange juice or smoothies. At least, when they are home-made you know what they contain and what ingredients have been used.

That’s all for now,
